New to site. Blind Cocker Spaniel

Blind and deaf pets can live happy, healthy, quality lives. In fact, sometimes it's hard to tell them from sighted pets. They do, though, have their own special needs.

New to site. Blind Cocker Spaniel

Post by 2organized »

My cocker went blind a few weeks ago. He has Glaucoma in one eye and a cataract in the other. Most days he does ok. Today he's bumping into stuff. It seems like when there are new smells in the house he gets lost. He's 10. We got him through cancer 4.5 years ago. I'm very sad. I just wanted to vent somewhere I'd be understood.

:whale: Well, at least you know how he's navigating! He's still very newly blind, though, so he'll probably get even better as time goes on.
