Blind kitten

Blind and deaf pets can live happy, healthy, quality lives. In fact, sometimes it's hard to tell them from sighted pets. They do, though, have their own special needs.

Blind kitten

Post by Animal lover68 »

Our little kitten fell off cat tower we think. We were outside came in an our little 9 week old kitten was just walking the room along the wall had blood on her nose. We cleaned her up an watched her closely. We have to bottle feed her she will eat a little can food but only if holding her. She walks in small circles a lot always in same direction an if you call her she turns same direction trying to figure out where you are. Her balance is not all ways good. Is she just confused from being blind now? Did she suffer some type of brain damage? Is it possible for her sight to come back? It's been over 2 weeks since it happened

:whale: The circling, in particular, indicates brain damage. Has she been taking steroids, like prednisone? If not, 2 weeks may not be too late to start them. Yes, it's possible for her vision to return as her brain heals; it may come back in part or in total.

No she is not on steroids at this time. It's actually my girlfriends 10yr olds kitten. She does not have money for a vet. I feel terrible because it happened at my house an we are not sure if my pregnant cat might have had something to do with it. Ok thank you so much I will let her know.
