Plastic tie collar for a blind dog

Blind and deaf pets can live happy, healthy, quality lives. In fact, sometimes it's hard to tell them from sighted pets. They do, though, have their own special needs.

This is an easy collar to make for blind dogs. Make note that collars are center weighted and the plastic cable ties should be positioned accordingly.

The plastic cable ties come in different lengths -- so just match a length for your dogs size. Be careful not to interfere with your dogs ears (if you have a dog with floppy ears.)

The plastic ties essentially become whiskers that alert your dog to walls and obstructions. My golden adapted instantly to the collar, since the plastic ties are flexible, they do not interfere with a dogs normal activities. They do not prevent your dog from sleeping, or coming in direct contact with you in any way.

Essentially this is a white cane for your blind or vision impaired dog.
