A tribute to Mysti --- in sickness and in health
History -- Rescue Pet found chained to the Wytheville Shelter on July 4.
Age around 10 years when found.
Breed-- Mixed--- Beagle/Boxer/ ?
Fostered and then adopted July 17, 2008.
Disposition --- Calm, laid back, quiet, (no barking or jumping), attention loving, appreciative pet.
Medical diagnosis - “Tumor manufacturer”, recurring cough, and old age seizures.
Medical history- 4 operations to remove lumps and internal tumors.
Seizures began in late 2011 and were diminished with medication. Walking troubles and balance problems remained difficult to the end (notice her “doggy buggy” which she happily accepted to get longer walks!). Yesterday (Memorial Day) she couldn’t walk (even with the aid of a rolled up towel as a “back end aid”). A large abdominal tumor was found on her last trip to the Vet 5/29/12.
We give thanks for all the good times we had with her for almost 4 years. At last she is free of discomfort, post surgery pain, and inability to move well.
Mysti- Thanks for all the Love you gave to us. Rest in Peace. Mysti's Mom
