medial luxating patella

Post by lovemyshorkietzu »

Hi. Every suggestion you can provide I'll appreciate. My dog's only a year and five months old, she was recently diagnosed with medial luxating patella. I am looking for an alternative besides surgery, right now. I just found this Web site...hopefully this will help me find the answer I'm looking for.

There's nothing worse than to see your "creature child" in pain. I think she's on stage/phase 2, but her vet suggests she gets the surgery done. The first time my puppy got spayed, I was crushed to see her in pain...stitched up. I am hoping to save her from another type of surgery.

Please help.

Thanks, Lina

I don't know of any non-surgical treatments. But surgery is essentially a cure for the condition.
