Mojo needs a pain pill during the day, and it i s difficult for my husband and I to adjust our work schedules to have someone home every day. He will take the pill with absolutely no problem if it is wrapped in cream cheese. Has anyone tried any of these autmotic feeders for such an application? The additional issue is placement of the unit. Mojo has limited movement, front legs only, but he does move around, I am concerned if I placed the unit right next to him 4 hours later it would be 4-5 feet away and he wouldn't get over to get the pill. Anyone have any experience with trying such an arrangement?

Hmm. It seems like it should work, but I think I'd put the pill in Pill Pockets or the like instead of cream cheese, to be sitting out.

My concern would be that the evidence might disappear under something? With the sense the Rx was taken?
I used to give my dogs the heartguard assuming they chomped them down, til I found a half chewed one one day. So unattended dosing had to stop in my house.

Are you comfortable that the pill will actually be consumed? Can you liquify or crush into powder and mix with something?

Any of mine will eat around the pill and I end up force feeding it.
