Need suggestions for rescue dog with deformed/injured leg

Post by lakeviewah »

I'm a veterinary technician & a rescue that our hospital has partnered with rescued this poor soul... his leg has some form of either injury or deformity (radiographs will be done once he's recovered from URI). I would appreciate any suggestions anyone may have on products or companies who might be able to work with this type of condition or if anyone has seen something like this and what worked for you.

He has A LOT of his body weight positioned around his chest, so its pretty difficult for him to walk. I'll try to add a video link as well.

The YouTube link is here: https://youtu.be/rJczQO3jJIc

Thanks in advance!

:slant: He carries his arm much like my Ares does! Is it actually deformed, or does he just not weight-bear? If it's misshapen, a custom splint would be necessary. If it needs to be held in the position of function, HP has splints that I like A LOT.
