A homeless friend of ours made Ari this carrier, which can also double as a walking aid thanks for the long, sturdy straps. It's a knock-off of Puppoose, http://www.feeltheflo.com/default2.asp because they're $80. Cecilia is willing to custom-make one for other little ones for far less.
