Help For Buddha

Post by Rev Bette »

Dear Friends,
I have a 9 pound Boston Terrier with severe birth defects from his hips to his hocks.
I need to have a k9 cart for him, but find I cannot afford one.
Is there any agency or one able to assist us?
I am my Moms caregiver and cannot work at this time.
Mom has been diagnosed with Lymphoma and has pva and pad.
She cant walk far as the pain is too great for hegs.
My little Boston was a resue and was deposited at my door step 2 1/2 years ago.
I had no clue he had problems until I relocated to Florida to assist my Mom.
Buddha has shown me he cant walk in the tough grass of Florida he drags his left hind leg.
He had right hip surgery and the vet wanted to do the other hip.
In the mean time he put Buddha on baby aspirin for pain.
I was not happy with the treatment he gave to Buddha, so I have switched vets and we now see Dr Valdez.
Buddha has developed a bleeding ulcer in his stomache from
the baby aspirin. I have to mash up TUms and we get shots for anti nausea as well k9 pepcid.
I have no more funds available to me for Buddha.
Can you suggest a place I may go to get assistants in paying for his k9 cart?
Thank You All,
Rev Bette

Hello Rev. Bette,

Welcome back. I remember you from last July. Sorry that things have gotten a bit worse in your household.

You might consider asking someone from your church to help you build this inexpensive wheelchair.

We also built a homemade wheelchair for our dog from PVC, and salvaged wheels from a child's toy. It cost about $10 to build.
