Bast
15 yrs old, always ruled with an iron paw
mom got a phone call from the cat sitter, found her all dehydrated and snotty
it was 9:30 at night but our vet was still at the clinic and said bring her.
mind you, mom has been out of town on a family emergency for nearly 3 weeks now
Bast is now at the vet's home getting supportive care but its pretty clear she isn't going to make it. mom and the vet txt back and forth constantly.
i don't think there isn't anything they haven't tried.

for 2012 we just want to not lose anymore of our 'core' cats.
2011 was awful, just awful.

So sorry Sasha.

Bad year here too, but it is what happens when we take in special-needs or palliative cases. I still wouldn't change what I do for anything, and I know you wouldn't either.

I am so sorry you lost Bast & your Daddy...too much. Thinking of you...no matter how many times we go thru it, it always hurts so much, because we love them & never get 'used to it'...without you they never get a golden time, you do give so many a chance, but losing them hurts just as much every time, or maybe more because the heart gets so sore...
