This writing is from a website created by Tom, a member here who was caring for his senior dog. The website was part of geocities that closed down, but it was archived on archive.org until recently, when I noticed it had been replaced with a 'Page not found'. I wrote to them in hysterics and whether it had anything to do with my email or not I don't know, but thank goodness the page is working again. A copy is attached here in a Word doc in case anything ever happens again.

As a pet owner, it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day responsibilities of feeding, walking, and caring for our furry friends. But it's important to remember the joy and inspiration that pets can bring to our lives.

Pets are often a source of unconditional love and support. They're there for us when we're feeling down, and they celebrate with us during our happy moments. Watching a pet play or snuggle up with us can bring a sense of peace and contentment that's hard to find elsewhere.

Pets can also inspire us to be better people. They teach us about responsibility, patience, and empathy. Caring for a pet can help us develop a routine and a sense of purpose, and it can encourage us to be more active and spend more time outdoors.

Finally, pets can provide a sense of companionship and reduce feelings of loneliness. They can be a source of comfort during difficult times and can help us feel more connected to the world around us.

In short, pets can be a source of inspiration and joy for pet owners. It's important to cherish the bond we share with our furry friends and to appreciate all the ways they enrich our lives.
