cricket went to vet today

hello friends,
well i had to take my boy to vet for swelled jaw and eye. it wasn't a tooth after all, he was spider bit. poor baby looked worse than he felt. i was the one hurting. lol.
she put him on 2 antibodtics and said that should get him well.
she also checked for deep pain again, it is coming back, slowly, but there!!! she is so proud, almost as much as me. lol.
as you maybe can guess, i am smiling ear to ear during check up. lol. we have worked so long and hard to get where we are.
i told vet that someday he and i will walk in there, just like before. from my lips to god's ears. 10 months ago no one thought he would be where he is now.

hi dianne,
don't know what kind of spider bit him, but usually brown recluses eat flesh , not so on cricket. he just has a huge swelled up jaw up high by his eye. he still ate good , even chews rawhides, so no pain. just scared me silly to look at him.
this dog acts like nothing is wrong. lol. i thought he had an abcessed tooth at first. vet said he would be better by tomorrow, i can already see the swelling going down tonight.
dianne those brown recluses can do heck of a lot of damage, they are bad here in arkansas. i had a friend almost lost a leg over one, so thank god cricket didn't tangle with one of them.

I am very glad to hear Crickett is doing better tonight. Also glad it wasn't a brown recluse. They are nasty alright.
