The hind legs are paralyzed

Post by khaldrogo »

hi,
His hind legs were paralyzed and had no control of his bladder or bowels. Sometimes he walks the spine. He's doing well and he's a happy guy. My question to everyone is - for the past few weeks he's been a bit restless at night.
This goes on almost all night. So now when he was irritable I turned him over and his hind legs went crazy.
Has anyone else seen this in their dogs? Should I care?
Thank!!!

Some people have reported the legs moving during sleep, like these examples:

Someone reported muscle spasms in the legs, which sounds like what you are describing, and her dog was also restless:

When was your dog's injury? Did they say what kind of injury it is (a disk problem, FCE, etc.)?

Hope this helps! :D

:strobe: I've had 4 spinal cord injured boys, and at least most of them have had that. Some have even kicked themselves out of the bed while sleeping!
