I was just thinking, if a rescue can't take her, it might be possible to ask them to "Courtesy Post" your kitten on their website, Facebook page, and Petfinder link.

Thanks all! I've had 2 rescue groups let me post her on their Facebook pages (Tailless Cat Rescue - a few bites - and CWP - Cats With Paralysis and mobility issues Adoptions and Fosters) and one rescue willing to enter her into their system (Our Companions in CT) as long as she stays fostered with me, which also puts her on their Sanctuary waiting list.

She and her sisters had their first vet checkup today and my vet didn't even remotely indicate she should be put down, which was nice.

Found someone local-ish (1.5h drive within the state) with a more seriously incontinent kitty who is willing to show me how to express her bowels and offer any other help/advice she can.

Overall, she's doing great. I got the crusting, sensitivity and inflammation on her anus under much better control using Neosporin, but she still has some other secondary symptoms I'm hoping to get a better handle on after her internal medicine appointment at the larger animal hospital.

She is turning into the sweetest, cuddliest little thing. I love that she forgives me so readily for all the stressful things I seemingly put her through and wants to plop into my lap for snuggles. I've interim named her Clementine. ❤

She is just beautiful. It looks like she's going to be longhaired or at least medium.

That is really cool about the rescue groups and the offer of assistance. It sounds like she is getting all the vetting and TLC she could possibly want! :D

I was hesitating to mention something because I've never had a manx cat and am not a vet or anything close. Anything I say would be secondhand. They say that cats are sensitive to zinc if they ingest too much of it. I do not know how much is too much in a kitten. I only mention it because Neosporin contains zinc, which I did not know until someone here pointed it out to me. It contains bacitracin, which is actually "bacitracin zinc". I don't see how there could be any issue as long as she is not licking it. I use it on my diaper dog and dogs are also sensitive to zinc, but she does not lick it, it is under her diaper. Most of it soaks into the diaper, and when the diaper is removed her bedding would also absorb any from her fur because she bounces around on her bottom. Supposedly cats are more sensitive to zinc than dogs (again I heard that secondhand). Anyway, maybe you will not need to use it long term, or maybe the specialist will have something else to suggest. I imagine getting her little bottom cleared up with healthy skin is probably the main thing right now. :)

Her name is perfect for her!

She is definitely a floof :)

Oh my god! She is fine, but her sisters probably licked her, and they both had noticeably decreased appetites the last two days!! They also had lower energy Saturday, but playing lots now. So hopefully they didn't get too much, but I will monitor very closely for more symptoms, thank you. Gah, my guilt at making the 2 healthy ones sick in my attempt to help the sick one...

More of an update on her though: the local lady who offered to help said she definitely was backed up, expressed NINE poops out of her yesterday, said there was more in there, offered to temporarily take her until she was fully cleared out, after which she'd train me until I got the hang of it. So much love.

Possibly whatever was going on with the kittens was totally unrelated? Again I don't know what I'm talking about here, but I can't imagine there's very much zinc in that stuff, maybe I'm wrong. :? A lot of people use white diaper cream (like Desitin) on their dogs for a moisture barrier under a diaper or belly band (and boy does it work) and on that, you can tell there's quite a bit of zinc because zinc oxide is what makes it white. On bacitracin I don't know how much there is. Just to be safe, maybe the vet will have something else you can use so you won't have to worry.

That is so nice of that lady to help out like that.

I'm now at the vet with her poor sisters who still aren't eating. But vet didn't think the amounts of zinc were enough to be toxic, directed me to check with poison control if I wanted, which I did, they confirmed those amounts are not toxic.

I'm glad that wasn't a problem. The only time I ever called pet poison control, they charged $85. I hope the other 2 will be OK. You are doing a lot to help these little barn kittens.

Correction: it was $55

Yeah it was $65, but as my bf puts it, I have a low uncertainty threshold
