Source Need help with sling.

We are still at the stage of needing to support her hind end totally. (she's about 90 lbs). My dad is working on making her something...can anyone point me toward instructions for a home made sling?

Also, here is a link to pictures of the rear leash being used on a large heavy dog--I think PorkChop was about 85 lbs. but could stand a little. You can see Sandy is supporting most of his weight.

My husband ran bungies through PVC pipes and made a sling to hold Sammy while he washes her. She weighs 130 lbs. He put each of the PVC sections through the body and one of the sleeves of a t-shirt. It looks like the type of sling used to transport whales. The PVC pipes prevent the t-shirt and bungies (or ropes, straps, etc.) from bunching. Maybe you can use the same idea of a horizontal stiffener along each side of her body and adapt it to be more practical for your use

Heather, is there any way you could post a picture of the harness you describe? That way we could show it to others who need ideas, as with the photos above.
