Having larger dogs I express and "depoop" them lying down. It was costing me a fortune in peepads so I went reusable as well. I bought some PUL (the waterproof material used to make baby diaper covers), cut it into 12" squares, cut a towel also into 12" squares and sewed the two together. I made 10 for about $5 and they have lasted a year. The PUL does wear down (mine are starting to leak) but $5 a year can't be beaten!
