Critters: Hillbilly fly deterrent is water in a plastic bag. Don't know why, but it works.

Connie: Thanks for the compliments. Yep, I make all that stuff and wish I could still stay home and do just that, but can't afford my own medical benefits or Bailey's that way.

Puremutt: Bailey lays on flat padded surfaces as a bolster bed would just be a problem for her. I gave up on dog beds more than a year ago. Now, we just pad potential bump your head areas.

Fort is constructed...mom is pooped...night all!

Hi Christine - Bailey's camp looks awesome, I told Connie she should take you up on that offer! You are absolutely ingenius - where there's a will there's a way! Did you make the quilt that is on your couch? It's beautiful, love the colours!
Wish Harley and I could come camp out or B&B at your place. :D Cheers, Jane

Hi Jane,
No, I did not make that quilt - tried quilting and it is way above my head! Got this out of the Penney's Catalog and bought a dog bed for Bailey to match. It is big and fluffy she really can't use it, so it is used as part of her night fort and a tv pillow.

Bailey's Bed and Breakfast is open and welcomes my HP family!

What kind of padding do you use now instead of bedding, you made me think of this now, since he has sometimes hard times to get up from his bed or he falls out.
His beds are very soft, I put wee wee pads inside and on top plus a towel.

I either use flat, firm foam that I slide inside a blanket made into a pillow case or I fold a blanket so it is a few layers and soft. In her tent, I have one of those memory foams under two quilts. My goal is to make it as flat as possible but yet padded for her hips.
