I would like to tell you about an alternative to help you get your baby around a little. (not sure on carpets) This was shared with me by a wonderful lady name Pat (thanks Pat) I have a lab/cocker mix and he is down also. We do not have carpet so this little item helps him in the house. It works his front legs anyways.
Ok I know you are saying "On with it" so here it is
It is a plant saucer (roller) I got one with no sides for easy lifting but I wonder if sides would help hold them in. I worried about the pressure on their little legs. Anyways what I did was take a little round pillow and I hot glued it to the saucer for comfort. Just lift his bottom up and sit him on it. Sometimes Smokey goes just a bookin' it and other times he falls off, (still working on that)
I only use it in the house on non carpet.
I hope it may help you with an idea anyways
