Tick Bite
My doberman is on Frontline. I pulled a tick (it was full of blood) and she has a small bump (under the skin) there now. She isn't itching it and it isn't red. Should I be concerned? She is acting normal so far( just removed the tick yesterday).

Re: Tick Bite
We have problems with ticks here in N.M. I do just what you did pull em out. The Frontline worked the 1st season I used it, after that it was inaffective. My dogs get the red bumps too he'll do ok.

Re: Tick Bite
I talked to my vet up here (NW WI) and she said we have a second round of ticks this year now. I found another tick the next day also full of blood Haven't had a real cold freeze yet. She suggested I give Reba another dose of Frontline now. The Frontline I was using was purchased on ebay and was packaged in Australia and not the same as what is used here. Bad Me for trying to save a buck. Can't wait for the snow to fall now. NO more bugs!! My vet said she will be OK, the small bump in normal after a bite.
Re: Tick Bite
If the Frontline is exposed to any decent heat during transport it will be minimized in it's effectiveness. It's the downside of getting cheaper but longer transport brings up the possibility.
If there is no redness or swelling you should be alright. Just make sure when pulling them out that the mouthparts come with the rest of the bug.
