he has been on aspirin therapy which seemed to help at first, but today he has really gone downhill and started crying. he is on pain meds. mom is considering putting him down tomorrow. will definitely at least talk with the vet again. he is in very bad shape
for people they do IV Lasix to dissolve the clot, then oral therapy. we don't know if they have something similar for cats. he is drinking and has some interest in food, yesterday he was using the box but his hind legs aren't working as well today.
He came to us about four years ago from an overcrowded rescue, has always been healthy except for missing a lot of teeth, but so what. a round happy boy who never picked fights or caused any kind of trouble, always a sweetie.
