Orville threw a clot

Post by Bendy Kitty »

on friday, the day mom picked him up from the lady who was caring for him while mom was gone.
he has been on aspirin therapy which seemed to help at first, but today he has really gone downhill and started crying. he is on pain meds. mom is considering putting him down tomorrow. will definitely at least talk with the vet again. he is in very bad shape :(

for people they do IV Lasix to dissolve the clot, then oral therapy. we don't know if they have something similar for cats. he is drinking and has some interest in food, yesterday he was using the box but his hind legs aren't working as well today.

He came to us about four years ago from an overcrowded rescue, has always been healthy except for missing a lot of teeth, but so what. a round happy boy who never picked fights or caused any kind of trouble, always a sweetie.

thank you for the link but it is too late for him.
he started seizing. mom gave him some phenobarb to calm him down and now he is resting quietly. we do not expect him to last the night.

she says i will be getting a chest echo asap as i do have a little heart murmur.
and she will read the link! thanks!

I remember when he came to your house. I am sorry you all are going through this...such a sweet boy. If there is a miracle for him, I am praying for it.

I am very sorry. As with all your cats, he was loved and cared for better than most humans. I am glad he had a peaceful passing.

I'm so sorry, but as posted above, I am sure he had the best care during his stay with you.

What nice words about him. He did look very, very sweet in his picture. I am sorry you are left without him now after all this time.
