Hip Dysplasia and steps
Hip Dysplasia and steps
We have a 67lb Golden Retriever who has reached the point of where steps are hard for her. When it's time to go outside, has anyone come up with a creative and safe solution for getting their dogs down the steps other than breaking their backs. We ordered one of the "Walkabout" hind end sling, but it's not really doing the trick as she is not able to use her hind end at all. She is under a vet's care of course, and we are doing what we can for her at this point, the only way out of our house is down the stairs. Our friend built a ramp for her, but it is too steep at this point. Any ideas would be welcomed. Thank you!

You might want to look at the Chelsea sling? She had no use of her hindquarters either.
