What's wrong with my cat?!

Hello. My cat is 2 and a half. 2 days ago we noticed she was not herself and she was in pain around her tail. She doesn't move her tail and if you pick her up she cries. The tail simply drops to the floor if lifted. She is eating fine but she still hasn't pooped once (which I am extremely concerned about) yet she is urinating just fine. We think our bigger cat may have bitten her in a fight, though it seems unlikely he could have done this much damage. There are no wounds that I can find in that area and her tail has no kink in it.She is just hiding away under the bed. She is a indoor cat and has been fixed. I have a vet appointment for the morning (they said they didn't have one for today) I was wondering if anyone knows what this could be or if they have had a similar experience. When I get back from vets tomorrow I shall post the outcome. I am terrified she'll need surgery or that it's something serious! HELP!

It sounds to me like he's had a tail injury of some sort. While this can cause lingering problems, it isn't usually something that can't be recovered from. I think I would just wait on the poop problem since she can pee, but be sure to mention it at her appointment.

Well (typically) she JUST popped and she's come out from under the bed now so I put her basket in the living room and she's chilling out. However she's clearly in pain. Although atm she has her hind leg in the air, grooming herself! I feel so helpless. All I can do is wait til the morning. Thx for replying.

P.S. Since writing this reply she has pooped TWICE.

OK so I took her to the vet this morning and they haven't got a clue what's wrong with her. They think she hasn't broken anything and gave her a antibiotic injection just in case she's got a absess coming and some anti inflam pain killer liquid. They said if there's no improvement by Monday to bring her back for a X Ray.

Does anyone know what to do with them syringe things they give you-it says ml on the side and KG on the bottom and the box says give her 5ml and 3kg. I sucked up to the number 4 to go in between...

She seems much more comfortable at the moment. I'll let you know what happens over weekend and Monday.

kg=kilogram, a weight, kind of like "pound." 5 ml=5 milliliters, a volume, and, in fact, = a teaspoon. If she's supposed to have 5 ml, 5 milliliters, just suck it up to the 5 line.
