Protruding Anus

I noticed accidentally that my cats anus is protruding. I figured it was hemroids and gave him soft food and olive oil yesterday and today. I've been following him around the house all day today to see if he poops. There was poop in the litter box when I got up this morning, but so far I've personally only noticed my other two cats poop today. I'm going to get pumpkin tomorrow but I don't know how long it's been since he pooped and I'm worried. I think his anus is less swollen and it doesn't appear red (good news), but I need to know how long a car can go without having a bowl movement and if I should continue to worry about his anus. My cat's name is Boo, he rarely gets sick and he's barely 14. Please help me!

A protruding anus can be a real problem. Does he have any disabilities? I don't know that I've heard of it in an able-bodied adult cat. He may need a trip to the vet...

He's not disabled and continues to act normal. I've been giving him pumpkin (which he loves) and Olive Oil. His anus is not red anymore and the swelling appears to be going down, I'm waiting now to actually see him poop. Boo has been much more active today so I feel a little better. Thank you for helping!!!
