GabrielDeafBlindPup AGAIN!

Post by GabrielDeafBlindPupFamily »

As I have been posting on other forums, he goes shopping in the cupboards which are 5 feet off the ground! He's had the stinky squirts for a couple of days, cut wayyy back on kibble, with lots of water. He always acts as though he is starving and now he is on a diet, because he is too porky. So. Tonight, cupboards open but I don't know what he might have gotten. The bag was completely shredded. Bad BMs, and vomitting. Which in GDBP's case is fairly normal, considering what he gets in to, like the trash, with 'stuff' I have done cleaned up ONE time.
But he won't eat. That is what alarms me. I made very water kibble with some turkey drippings and pieces to settle his stomach. He turned his nose up and his forehead feels hot. I have no thermometer...
If I can get him to drink anything, I will give him ice water, but he is turning his face away.
It is bitter cold down here, ice on the RESCUE wagon tonight. (Poor Phoenix, I am worried SICK about him!)
I guess dogs get fevers and get sick like we do, but maybe I just never noticed before?

Have you tried a Tablespoon of canned pumpkin to help with the squirts? The plain canned pumpkin, not the kind with the spice already in it. See if that helps. My holistic vet says one dose of Calcarea Carbonica 30C helps with 'that kind' of hunger. Don't know if you should try that or not.
Good Luck.

So Karen...did you get your house cleaned up enough to cook? And did you make your famous green bean casserole again this year?

Well, I didn't leave the house today... Not even to get carpet cleaner :(

HA! No green bean casserole this year, or probably ever again. I did have 4 different dishes cooked by 11 am, though. Can't figure out what I did wrong with that green bean casserole, it didn't taste anything like it was supposed to!

More stinky squirts, so he is not allowed to eat more than a handful. Gave him a handful of turkey.

Gotta get out tomorrow to Petsmart get some pet pectillin, take care of Phoenix and help with an adoptathon.

Today was really bad. Cried all day. It is only going to get worse :( Everything is setting me off.

Oh, well, I don't think anyplace was open where you could get carpet cleaner anyway, unless maybe Walgreen's, right? :) If you want something else to think about, I can send you the horror story of the latest happenings in my neighborhood. Too bad to post this time. Getting harder and harder to walk a dog.
