Meet Pistachio
(mild Osteochondrodysplasia)
Meet Pistachio, an adorable Scottish Fold Persian mix from Kuwait! This little guy is the perfect blend of playful, affectionate, and smart. His unique mix gives him a charming look that matches his sweet personality. He's gentle with everyone he meets and will quickly become your best friend. If you're looking for a kitten with both brains and beauty, Pistachio is your guy. He's ready to bring lots of love and fun into his forever home!

Pistachio has mild Osteochondrodysplasia, the Scottish Fold disease. The abnormality that causes their ears to be folded also leads to cartilage issues throughout the body. It's recommended that he get some kind of joint supplement for the majority of his life. A popular supplement comes in powder form and is easily sprinkled over food. Though he does not currently require pain management, he was sent to the US because we have a drug called Solensia that Kuwait does not have. This is a drug he may eventually need every month for the rest of his life if his OCD progresses. It's a shot and will have to be done at a vet office. Typically it costs $80-$100 per month, depending on location.

Est. DOB April 2024, he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FIV/Felv negative.

Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our pet store partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and/or All Paws).

Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.
