I have an awesome vet. He thought there was something going on. He suggested that we run allergy tests. Turns out Frankie is allergic to duck, eggs, oats, rice, lamb, peas, and barley. His food had four of those in its ingredients. He's now on Hill's Prescription Diet z/d with venison and seems to be doing well.

Mom of Frankie, a yorkiepoo adopted on 12/28/16 at 6 months old. He was stepped on at 9 weeks & broke his back at T12. He has underwent water & cold laser therapy. On 2/9/17 he received his cart. There's no stopping him now!

Glad he is doing well. I have heard that particular variety is pretty expensive!

z/d IS pricey, but I've heard it's pretty much a guaranteed fix because the proteins are broken down.

Same here! My dog had allergy issues too, and we tried switched to Hill’s Prescription Diet z/d (the original one). It’s not super tasty for her, but it works really well. I found it on Petfoodr and it was a bit cheaper than other places. Glad Frankie is doing better!
