Say hello to Reece, a very special puppy with a heart as big as her personality. Shortly after rescuing her from a backyard breeder in Detroit, it was discovered that Reece had vision issues, and after seeing the specialists at Veterinary Vision of Rochester, she was diagnosed with optic nerve hypoplasiaa genetic condition that has left her blind.
But here's the amazing part: Reece has never known sight, so she doesn't know life any other way! She has quickly adapted to her flaw and is otherwise a perfectly normal, happy, and healthy puppy. She isn't at high risk for future abnormalities or malformations and is ready to live a full, joyful life with her forever family.
Reece is a fast learner who has already figured out how to navigate her foster home. As long as things stay in familiar places, she does great. She's working on house training and crate training, and her foster family describes her as smart, outgoing, and incredibly sweet. She loves to snuggle close with her people and adores the companionship of other dogs. She's even been fine with catsthough she may not be able to tell her furry friends apart!
Reece will do best in a home with a family that has experience with vision-impaired dogs or the patience and desire to learn how to support her needs. She'll thrive with people who are ready to guide her, help her continue to grow, and most importantly, love her unconditionally. She may be best with another dog to help "guide" the way.

Reece is ready to go home with her new family in foster-to-adopt status until her spay surgery has been completed at 6 months (1/18/25 - 2/18/25) of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clawson, Clinton Twp, or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable.

Will be scheduled for spay surgery at our partner Veterinary office at 6 months of age.

OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE.
