Raspberry (cerebellar hypoplasia)'s Story

Meet Raspberry! 🍓

Raspberry is a stunning long-haired calico with the softest fur and the sweetest soul. She was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) — a neurological condition that affects coordination and balance. While it gives her an adorable “wobbly walk,” it doesn’t cause her any pain, and it isn’t progressive. CH cats like Raspberry can live long, happy, and healthy lives — they just move through the world a little differently. 💕

Raspberry has a moderate case of CH, which means she has a charming, very slow stutter-step and sometimes takes a tumble — but she never lets that stop her. She does need a home with carpet or rugs though.

She loves wand toys with feathers (as long as you give her time to “catch” them!) and is a total cuddlebug who adores being petted. She’d make an ideal Netflix companion, perfectly content to curl up beside you. Just remember: since she can’t jump, she’ll need help getting on and off the couch.

Raspberry does have some special care needs:
🐾 She eats multiple times a day, since getting around takes more energy for her.
🐾 She needs a low-entry litter box close by and some pee pads, since balance can make potty time a bit tricky.

She’s truly a special girl with a gentle heart who deserves a loving, understanding home.

Raspberry’s sister, Strawberry, is also looking for a home — they don’t have to be adopted together, but it would be wonderful if they could. The girls are cuddle buddies and make biscuits on one another.
Since she can’t run or defend herself during play, Raspberry would do best with a calm companion like Strawberry or as the only cat.

If you’re looking for a cat who will melt your heart daily with her sweetness, courage, and charm — Raspberry is your girl. 🍓💖

Est. DOB May 2025, she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our pet store partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and/or All Paws).

Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.

Strawberry (Cerebellar Hypoplasia)'s Story

Strawberry is a sweet, adorable dilute calico with a heart as big as her charm. She has severe Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which means she can stand and walk for short periods but needs a little help getting into a standing position. She does best with raised food bowls and prefers a taller water fountain. Once she’s upright, she can shuffle her way to her food and water. For litter box use, Strawberry simply needs to be placed in the box two to three times a day.

Strawberry also has some unique dietary needs. Her lack of coordination affects her ability to eat, so she requires a small, high-calorie kibble. She currently does best on Royal Canin Mom & Babycat. She’s offered wet kitten food twice a day, though she doesn’t always eat it. To help meet her nutritional needs, Strawberry also receives a high-calorie nutritional gel—something she loves licking right off a finger! We often mix it with Churu so it continues to feel like a special treat. Her need for high-calorie food may change in the future, but it’s difficult to predict.

At first glance, caring for Strawberry may sound like a lot—but in reality, the assistance she needs a few times a day is a small ask compared to everything she gives in return.

Strawberry is pure love. She makes biscuits with all four feet, adores snuggling close to her people, and melts hearts with the most perfect little blep when you scratch her back. Her sweetness—and her cuteness—are truly legendary.

Please consider opening your heart and home to Strawberry. Even better, give her the greatest gift of all by adopting her alongside her sister, Raspberry.
