I have a puppy who is now close to 12 weeks old who was born tripod. She is fitting in well with the family except my 7 month old German Shepard. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get my shepard to be nicer to her or help the two of them get along?

Shepherd senses weakness. Tripod in the wild is a dead dog. I use my blindpups to try to describe. A blindpup in the wild is a dead pup. My blindpup is relentless with my deafblindpup, so I have to keep them separated. In your case, you can teach shep she is alpha and has nothing to worry about, you feed her first, you pet her first, she gets preferential treatment befitting alpha. Tripod comes 2nd and maybe tensions will ease. Right now, my deafblindpup is having issues with baby foster. He has no problem with dogs, cats, but this puppy gets on his nerve. But it's early days yet. How to correct a deafblindpup? a tap on the nose is all he needs. BUT he gets a LOT of extra love right now to assure him he is still top dog.
