Honey is home

Post by CarolC »

Honey arrived Thursday night at 1130 pm. On the first day I gave her a crate in the family room so she could observe the house and the other pets. The water bowl works for her but I also gave her a small pyrex brownie pan that she seems to like better, it is easy to drink from lying down. Here is a picture of her in her crate the first day.

This picture was taken in the dark with flash. When I let her out of her crate, she went into the kitchen and made herself comfortable on the scratching post by the door to the laundry room. You can see the big dog bowl on the right next to the fridge. When Merlin (golden retriever) went in to have a drink, she just stayed there and didn't mind. You can see we have mats all over the floor so Merlin doesn't slip on the parquet floor, and this is working well for Honey, too.

She picked at her food (dry and canned) the first day, but last night she ate her dry food and went potty in the litter box. Today she is watching the crazy kittens play with spring toys. I think we are going to be very happy. :)
