Forum advertising policy

You may notice the lack of advertising here, unlike what you see on most social media platforms. There are a handful of links on our homepage for equipment that would be helpful for the pets we support here, and none at all on the pages where you read posts. That is by design.

The mission of this forum is to support caregivers of elderly, disabled, and handicapped pets. The message board is a place where we can discuss the pets we are caring for without distraction, find information, solve problems, share solutions, give and receive support, and celebrate the pets we love.

The goal of this advertising policy is to reduce distractions and keep the focus on pets. Caring for disabled pets can be a physical, emotional, and financial strain. This forum has a high number of visitors who are under stress. They have little time, energy, or attention to spare for anything that does not contribute directly to dealing with the situation they are in at the moment. We seek to keep the outside world at bay while we focus on caring for our elderly, disabled, and handicapped pets. Therefore, although advertising is common on social media platforms, it is generally disallowed here.
